Swindled?
At 8.30 pm tonight on ABC is an important documentary: The Great Global Warming Swindle. This aired a couple of months ago on channel 4 in the UK.
After the docco, Lateline host Tony Jones will interview Martin Durkin, the show's writer and director. Should be interesting.
This is essential viewing for anyone who wants to hear a voice other than that of the noisy rabble singing its predictable tune.
I have, err, a slight problem: we don't own a TV. Anyone got a screen we can camp in front of from around 8 pm?

I'm not sure how long it'll stay there, but you can watch it online (and on YouTube in pieces).
Scientific argument is always good and, as always, both sides of the argument should be carefully considered until the "truth" becomes irrefutable. Galileo was persecuted for believing in heliocentrism, and now we know better. Of course, there are plenty of people that have been persecuted for their beliefs, only to discover later that they were, in fact, wrong.

"In 1999, Channel 4 in the UK broadcast in its Equinox series (which claimed to be a series of science documentaries) a film produced by Durkin called “Storm in a D Cup”, which argued that silicone breast implants were beneficial to a woman’s health."
Chris, apologies for posting in such a contrary manner, and I'm breaking my own rule about playing the man rather than the ball, but Martin Durkin seems to have... form, shall we say.

J & C here, sitting in Cairns on our last day of our holidays. We met a few climate scientists two nights ago. Cairns is apparently hosting the 'Olympics' of international climate change discussions this week (happens every four years). We hope you got your post card... Cairns had its coldest winter period ever whilst we were on holidays! -not sure what happened to this global warming stuff...
